Reconstructing Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help survivors of domestic abuse rid themselves of signs of prior violence, including, but not limited to, tattoos, burns, scars, broken bones, broken, chipped and/or misaligned teeth. This enables them to more easily live productive lives after having been survivors of domestic abuse.
A team of dedicated healthcare professionals comprised of plastic and reconstructive surgeons, dermatologists, oculoplastic surgeons, facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons, otolaryngologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists and others work together to help patients on a voluntary basis as members of the Medical Advisory Board.
Reconstructing Hope works with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence's Cosmetic & Reconstructive Support Program (CRS™) and FACE to FACE: Domestic Violence Project of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to ensure all patients receive the support and counseling they need as well as to ensure that those individuals who are most in need of such donated services receive them.
Supporters of Reconstructing Hope include pharmaceutical corporations, medical device companies, law firms, investment banks, hedge funds, venture capital firms, hospital and healthcare systems and generous individuals who give of themselves to help others.
Members of the Board of Directors work tirelessly with the Executive Director to ensure the organization is run as efficiently and effectively as possible to have greatest impact on the largest number of affected individuals.
